Pedestrian On Evergreen Way Outside Of Crosswalk Hit, Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries

Southbound traffic was diverted at 4th Ave. W.

An EPD officer in the area where the crash happened south of the intersection.

The southbound lanes of Evergreen Way were closed at 4th Avenue West for hours following a car vs. pedestrian crash Thursday night. Everett Police Traffic Safety Safety Unit Detectives were called out to investigate the crash which was reported around 6:30 PM.

A car struck a person who reportedly had been south of the crosswalk at 4th Ave. West and Evergreen Way. The driver of the car who struck the person stayed on scene cooperating with traffic detectives who were working to determine the sequence of events leading to the crash.

The person struck was transported by medic unit to Providence Regional Medical Center with injuries that were reported by Everett Police as life-threatening. While southbound traffic was diverted at 4th Avenue West, northbound traffic was not affected.
