Police Blotter

Detectives set up a work area outside the home as they investigated reports of a homicide at the residence.

We first reported on a homicide investigation back at the start of September at a home in the 8800 block of Del Campo Drive in the Eastmont neighborhood of south Everett. The man who owned the home was taken into custody but the victim had not been located. This morning (Fri 11/12) the Sheriff’s office announced they had recovered the victim’s remains. Here’s the release put out by SCSO.

Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives have recovered remains of the homicide victim, a 49-year-old Everett man, who detectives believe was killed in August at a residence in the 8800 block of Del Campo Drive. The suspect, an 84-year-old Everett man, is being held at the Snohomish County Jail on a $1 million bail. This is an active investigation. No additional details are expected at this time.
