Everett Police Investigating Double Shooting In Central Everett Home Invasion

Police believe the home was targeted and this was not a random crime.

Editor’s Update Thu 11/11 10:30 AM: Detectives and crime scene technicians are still at the scene this morning collecting evidence. Everett Police Public Information Officer Kerby Duncan tells MyEverettNews.com detectives believe this was a targeted crime and not random and are working to identify the people who entered the home. Everett Police have also updated the information provided last night and say it appears the incident was a home invasion. Multiple people reportedly entered a house on Columbia Avenue shortly after 9:00 PM. They encountered a woman and child on the lower floor of the house. Two men who had been at the store returned to the home and gunshots were fired. Both of those men were hit and the suspects ran from the house. Police say the men who were shot are expected to recover from their wounds. Major Crimes detectives are working the case and anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police Tip Line at (425) 257-8450.

Everett Police and Fire crews were on scene.

Police confirmed two people had been shot.

10:00 PM Initial Report: Everett Police are investigating after two people were shot at a home in the Pinehurst neighborhood of central Everett.

It’s early in the investigation but Everett Police confirmed two people were taken to the hospital and both had been shot.

There was no information on the severity of their injuries or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The shooting was reported shortly after 9:00 PM in the area of Columbia and Willard south of Madison Street.

No other information was immediately available but Major Crimes Detectives have joined patrol officers at the scene. We’ll provide updates as we learn more.
