Major Crimes Unit detectives continue investigating a recent armed robbery at a south Everett business and have arrested two of the three suspects on probable cause.
Just before midnight on August 9, 2021, three masked suspects entered a business in the 9500 block of 19th Ave SE. Two were armed with firearms, one with a pistol and one with a rifle, and held employees and customers at gunpoint while a third stole merchandise and cash. During the robbery, suspects took cell phones from the victims so they could not call 911. A police K-9 unsuccessfully searched the area, but it was believed the suspects left in a vehicle parked at a nearby business.
While investigating the case, detectives sought to identify the suspects. An officer who recently lateraled to Everett Police from Seattle Police and worked on the Seattle Police Anti-Crime Team, believed he knew the identity of one suspect from working a prior Seattle robbery case. Based on the information and their investigation, detectives developed probable cause and arrested a 22 year-old man in Kent, WA on September 23rd. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple counts of robbery.
The investigation also identified a second suspect. Last night, a 22 year-old man voluntarily surrendered to Everett Police officers in Seattle, WA. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple counts of robbery.
Detectives continue their investigation.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Everett Police Department Tip Line at 425-257-8450.
