The downtown Everett Public Library is hosting a special exhibit entitled “Portraits of Peace” through the end of the month/ Located in the main library in the space formerly occupied by a coffee shop the unique exhibit invites visitors to consider points of view from a diverse audience from across the country. There are a variety of stories and photos to explore.
Visit the library and explore the “Portraits of Peace” exhibit, free of charge, from Tuesday, Aug. 31 to Thursday, Sept. 30. Face coverings are currently required for library visitors ages 5 and older.
John Noltner will also speak about “Portraits of Peace” in a free virtual program on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. at: crowdcast.io/e/peace.
Through difficult conversations, gentle humor, and a keen eye for beauty, John Noltner’s “Portraits of Peace” captures a rich collage of who we are as a nation. The exhibit features beautiful storytelling and captivating photography to explore many of today’s most challenging social issues.
A gifted storyteller, John Noltner has worked on four continents, gathering stories of human courage, grace, and resilience. He has produced projects for national magazines, Fortune 500 companies, and non-profit organizations. His work reflects his belief that art and storytelling can help individuals, organizations and communities articulate their deepest values and encourage action toward building social capital and community connections.
