A quick response from three different fire departments stopped the spread of a house fire at a home in south Everett Tuesday morning.

Shortly after 9:30 AM reports came in of a fast spreading fire at the back of a home off 116th SE just east of Silver Lake in south Everett.

In addition to Everett Fire, crews from South County Fire and Snohomish Regional Fire also responded to the scene.

Engine 12 was able to get a fast knock down on the fire while arriving crews connected to a nearby hydrant and provided additional support.

The fire was under control in about 10 minutes and firefighters were able to keep it from getting into the attic.

The people who were home at the time got out without injury and an inspector with Everett Fire arrived to look into the cause of the fire.
