Couple Okay After Short Plunge At 10th Street Boat Launch

August 26, 2021

Police Blotter

The car landed on its wheels.

The tide was out at the time.

The commotion didn’t seem to bother the nearby ospreys.

No injuries but likely a hefty tow bill after a car went off the side of the 10th street boat launch parking area at the Port of Everett Thursday afternoon.

A couple had been picking berries near the north east side of the parking area at the 10th street boat launch.

When they went to leave the driver miscalculated the amount of room needed for their U-turn and ended driving off the edge of the parking area into the sand and rocks along the north side.

Luckily the car landed on its wheels and the tide was out. Both people were able to get safely back up the embankment. Hansen’s towing removed the car from the area before the tide came back in.
