Sheriff Asking For Help Locating Man Who Reportedly Shot At Deputy South Of Everett

Editor’s Update 7:20 PM: The suspect was taken into custody a short time ago.
This in from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department after a shooting between a deputy and a reported car theft suspect on Thursday.

Major Crimes Detectives are seeking the public’s help locating The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit has probable cause to arrest IRONS, COLLIN M (DOB 12/05/1990) for Assault in the 1st degree. On 08/18/2021 Irons fired a .45 caliber pistol at a uniformed Deputy Sheriff and subsequently fled the area.

Irons was recently released from prison and has an extensive and violent criminal history to include two convictions for assault in the third degree. Iron’s current whereabouts are unknown, and he should be considered armed and dangerous. Irons has several unique tattoos that are pictured.

Extreme caution should be exercised should contact be made with Irons. Documentation of probable cause is located at the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Records Unit if located.
