MyEverettNews.com spoke with Everett Police this morning who tell us there were no known injuries but they have recovered more than twenty shell casings after shots were exchanged in the 2800 block of Rockefeller Saturday night.
Everett Police Spokesman Kerby Duncan tells us the investigation is ongoing but the initial report was that two people walked past another near the corner of Hewitt and Rockefeller Saturday night shortly after 10:30 PM. One of the two people made a comment about the jewelry a man was wearing and words were exchanged. The two people continued north on Rockefeller when at least one of them turned and fired shots at the person near the corner. That person took out a gun and fired back at the two people down the block. The two reportedly then took off running. Arriving officers impounded a gun from the first man and collected over twenty shell casings on Rockefeller between Hewitt and California. Again no people were hit and officers continue to investigate.

Initial report 1:00 AM Sunday 07/25/2021:

Officers collect shell casings near a doorway on Rockefeller.

Shortly after 10:30 PM Saturday night Everett Police responded to multiple reports of shots fired in downtown Everett.

Bullet casings were recovered from the northwest corner of Hewitt and Rockefeller as well as the area mid-block of 2800 Rockefeller.

No one was reported injured at the time of this writing and patrol officers were collecting evidence and talking to witnesses.

We’ll update with more information as it becomes available Sunday morning.
