Brush Fire Breaks Out Under Power Lines West Of I-5 At 75th Street

July 11, 2021

Everett Fire

Shortly before 3 PM Sunday Everett Firefighters received multiple calls of a grass fire underneath the power lines west of I-5 and south of 75th street. It took Everett firefighters about an hour to get the fire fully contained. Proximity to the high voltage lines was a concern for fire crews as they surrounded and put out the blaze. Fire did spread up a power pole holding high voltage lines serving Puget Sound Energy customers. Firefighters had to wait for crews to de-energize the line before they could deal directly with that issue. An inspector is on scene looking into the cause. Here are a few MyEverettNews.com photos of the firefighting efforts. Click to enlarge.
