Everett Public Schools selected Danielle “Dani” Mundell as the new Director of Athletics and Activities. This past year, she was the assistant principal at Jackson High School and served as the school’s athletic director.This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and supervising all district athletics, activities and other events including ASB, district extracurriculars and end-of-year activities, including district-wide commencement ceremonies.
“The role athletics and activities play in a students’ connection and sense of belonging to a school is a key part of many student’s success academically. I am excited to continue the relational work of connecting students with trusted adults and programs they will remember forever,” said Mundell.
Before arriving in Everett, Dani was assistant athletics and activities director and dean of students at Monroe High School and a health and fitness teacher, department head and activities director at Bothell High School.
Dani will assume her new duties overseeing district athletics and activities on July 1, replacing Robert Polk who unexpectedly passed away in April after serving 17 years in this role.
“We are excited to welcome Dani into her new role at Everett Public Schools,” said Superintendent Ian Saltzman, “school supported activities and athletics are extremely important to our students and families and I look forward to seeing Dani’s talent in this arena shine.”
