common sense

It is gonna get hot this weekend in Everett.

With record heat predicted for Everett, Washington into early next week the City is extending the operating hours for both library branches. Here’s the update sent out Friday afternoon from Kimberley Cline at the City.

In addition to being open for regular business on June 26th , both of our Everett Public Library branches will be able to operate as a cooling center on Sunday, June 27th and Monday, June 28th from 10am – 6pm. Library services will be limited during these times, but we welcome visitors to come escape the heat. Water and restrooms are available. Visitors must wear a face mask while inside the library. We’ll have extras available for those who don’t have one.

Snohomish County is keeping an updated list of cooling centers in Everett and across the County. You can access that list here.
