You have until July 5th to provide comments on the various clean-up options for the Everett waterfront location for Jeld-Wen (formerly Nord Door) along Marine View Drive. Here’s more information from the Washington State Department of Ecology.

From June 3 to July 5, 2021, you are invited to review and share your feedback on the latest cleanup documents for the JELD-WEN (formerly called E.A. Nord Door) site located in Everett, Washington. Click here to visit the site and view the available documents referenced below.

JELD-WEN site cleanup documents are available for public comment:

• Draft Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS)
Presents the results of studies at the site to characterize the presence and extent of contamination. The report also provides an evaluation of cleanup alternatives to address contamination.

• Draft Public Participation Plan (PPP)
Outlines Ecology’s process and opportunities for public input throughout cleanup at this site.

We are not planning a public meeting for this comment period but will hold one if we receive ten or more requests. Any public event will comply with Washington’s Stay Home, Stay Healthy order.

Once the public comment period ends, we will review and consider all comments received. The draft RI/FS and draft PPP may be modified based on your recommendations.

Stay involved!
For project updates and notice of future public comment opportunities for this site, contact Megan MacClellan at megan.macclellan@ecy.gov to be added to our email list for the Jeld Wen site.
