Gas Line Struck At Downtown Everett Construction Site

Everett Fire and Police set up a command post at California and Rockefeller.

It appears a metal stake may have been the issue.

PSE and Everett Firefighters checked gas levels in the building next to the leak.
Everett Police blocked off Rockefeller and Oakes Avenues between Everett and California in downtown Everett after a construction crew hit a gas line.
It appeared to be a low pressure line but you could smell the odorized gas at times in the neighborhood.
Everett Fire stood by while workers from Puget Sound Energy worked to make the area safe.
The leak was reported about 7:30 AM. The streets were re-opened at 9:15 AM.
