That will mean lane closures and the need to watch for runners along the Everett waterfront, West Marine View Drive and Highway 529 between Everett and Marysville.
The 10K will be on Saturday, March 27th, and the Half Marathon will be on Sunday, March 28th. Each day will be limited to 600 total participants. Here’s some road closure information as provided by the Port of Everett.
Runners will begin their race in small groups with scheduled timed start waves from 8 a.m. – noon. The race begins and ends at the Port of Everett’s Jetty Landing Park and parking lot in the North Marina, located adjacent to the boat launch.
As part of the Everett Half Marathon, the western most, southbound lane of West Marine View Drive will be closed to traffic from about 7 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 27 (from 18th & WMVD to about the Legion Park Golf Course entrance) and from about 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 28 (from 18th & WMVD to the entrance of the SR 529 bridge).
The eastern southbound lane will remain open to vehicle traffic, allowing both south and north bound traffic to continue for the duration of the event.
Drivers may experience intermittent delays at the entrances of 10th, 13th and 18th Streets & WMVD while runners move along their race route.
The Port’s 11th Street (north of the North Docks, south of the boat launch) will be closed during race hours; local access for North Docks slipholders to remain available.
Please note: Road closures, traffic modifications and any detours will be marked. Local law enforcement and traffic management officials will be positioned along the route. Access related to emergency response will be available as necessary.
