Everett Transit Looking For Additional Feedback

March 13, 2021

Everett

As Everett Transit looks forward to how it will provide service the agency is asking for additional feedback from current and potential future users. Here’s more.

Everett Transit made three announcements this month: the launch of phase two of Rethink Transit, the return of Sunday service and two new buses added to the fleet.

Rethink Transit phase two

The second phase of the Rethink Transit study began March 8 and will run for one month. Rethink Transit is a multi-year process to understand the community’s transit values and priorities, and plan for the future of transit in Everett by looking at three service level and funding options.

Through April 5, more information about the three options and surveys can be found on Everett Transit buses, at the Everett Station Customer Service Center and online at rethinkET.participate.online.

Sunday service returns

Everett Transit will resume Sunday service effective March 14. This announcement comes after a lengthy public process in which improvements to weekday service or the restoration of Sunday service were considered. The majority of those surveyed expressed how important Sunday service is to them.

Additionally, service between Mukilteo and Boeing (route 70) will be suspended until there is greater demand. Route 6 between Everett Station and the Waterfront will continue to be suspended until state COVID-19 guidance allows for more passengers on a bus.

New buses

Everett Transit is introducing two additional all-electric buses in March, bringing its fleet of electric buses to nine. The new buses offer a smoother ride for passengers and have improved acceleration and range.
