No Injuries After Explosion And Fire At Everett Cabinet Shop

Smoke could be seen from several blocks away.

The sprinkler system activated and there was a significant amount of water put into the building.

Just after 10:30 this morning multiple calls came in of smoke and flames coming from a cabinet shop in the 3800 block of McDougall between Broadway and I-5 in Everett. Everett Fire says it was an industrial fire in a paint booth, followed by a significant explosion.

There were no injuries and fire crews are likely to be there for a while monitoring hot spots and working on overhaul. Investigators are on scene looking for the cause.

Broadway was closed between 37th and 41st while crews responded and got things under control. Here are a few MyEverettNews.com photos. Click photo to enlarge.
