Everett Police Say Suspected DUI Driver Hit Sixteen Vehicles

Saw this posted on the Everett Police Facebook page and thought I’d pass it along here.

Just before 11:00 p.m. on Sunday night, officers responded to reports of a vehicle hitting multiple cars in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 9900 block of 12th Ave W. Additional reports indicated the vehicle exited the complex and struck more parked cars along the street before finally stopping on the sidewalk. Arriving officers found a 21 year-old male in the driver’s seat. The man smelled of alcohol and admitted he had been drinking. During the investigation, officers located 16 vehicles and a street sign that had been hit. The man was arrested on probable cause for DUI, as officers believed he was almost 4 times over the legal limit, and 17 counts of hit and run. The man was taken to a local hospital before being booked into jail. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
