Everett Jail Staff Receiving COVID-19 Vaccinations

February 17, 2021

Everett

This in today from the Courtney O’Keefe at the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office who manages the jail in Everett, Washington.

Jail

Snohomish County Jail in downtown Everett.

The Snohomish County Jail has officially been approved by the state Department of Health as a COVID-19 vaccination site for staff and inmates. Our jail medical unit received their first shipment of vaccines and began administering them to those who meet the state’s current vaccination eligibility criteria. Due to limited supply, only eligible staff members are receiving vaccinations at this time – not inmates.

O’Keefe adds that is is optional for staff members. No word on when or if vaccinations will begin for inmates.
