This spring look for the Flying Pig to open in this spot downtown.

Spent some time going through the State Liquor License applications recently and noticed a familiar name, The Flying Pig.

There’s a new application for the space at 1414 Hewitt Avenue.

That location has been many a restaurant and bar. Most recently Abbott’s and prior to that the Prohibition Grille which was visited by TV Chef Gordon Ramsay and remade into the Prohibition Gastropub and featured in an episode of Kitchen Nightmares in 2013.

Still waiting on details of the Flying Pig (2.0) but it looks like Joel Starr will be back. He, along with Lance Miller and Robert Hamre are listed on the license application with the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board.

I’m told they look to open this Spring. The original Flying Pig started as a micro brewery in 1997 and was located in the 2900 block of Colby in downtown Everett, Washington.

We’ll let you know when more details become available.
