Fire Hits Former Oriental Grocery Building On Everett Mall Way

Crews arrived to heavy smoke pouring from the building.

Initial report 3:30 AM Thursday Jan 21: An Everett Fire Inspector is on the scene trying to determine the cause of a fire at the former Everett Oriental Grocery building at 118 SE Everett Mall Way. Shortly after 2 AM calls came into Snohomish 911 of smoke and flames coming from the building. Arriving fire companies found heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the building and began an offensive attack. The fire was contained after about 25 minutes and there were no injuries. The building had been empty for some time and appeared to be undergoing remodeling. Here are some photos of the crews from Everett Fire with mutual aid provided by South County Fire.
