Fast Work By Firefighters Contains South Everett Apartment Fire

Firefighters from Engine 6 got a fast knockdown on the fire.

The fire was contained to the one unit.

One of Everett’s newest firefighters was among the first in.

About 8:15 Friday night calls came into Snohomish 9-1-1 of a woman calling for help from an apartment on fire in the 700 block of Casino Road.

Engine 6 was the first Company in and found heavy black smoke coming from the apartment and fire within.

The woman who called for helo was able to safely escape the apartment and Engine 6 got a fast knockdown on the fire containing it to the unit and quickly getting it out.

The woman from the apartment was transported by ambulance to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution.

There were no injuries to residents or firefighters. An investigator from Everett Fire was called to the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
