Everett Police Investigating Shooting At Airport Road And Highway 99

Editor’s Update 1:00 PM: Here is the official Everett Police Press Release on this morning’s shooting.

Just before 3:00 a.m. this morning, 911 received a report of a shooting at the bus stop in the 11800 block of Airport Rd. Arriving officers found an adult male, who had been shot, and quickly located the male suspect in a nearby business after a short K-9 search.
The victim, in his mid-40’s, was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett where he underwent surgery and is expected to survive.
The suspect, in his late 30’s, was arrested and booked into the Snohomish County Jail on probable cause for assault.
Major Crimes detectives continue investigating the incident to determine what precipitated the shooting.
The northbound bus and carpool lane in the 11800 block of Airport Rd was closed to traffic for several hours during the investigation.

Police are working the area and medics transported the shooting victim.

Original Post 4:00 AM: One person has been detained following a shooting at the bus stop next to the 7-11 at Airport Road and Highway 99.

Just before 3 AM this morning Everett Police received a report of a shooting with a person down at the bus stop.

Arriving officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics were called and transported the victim to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett. No word at this time on his condition.

Additional Everett Police and Snohomish County Sheriff’s Deputies set up containment and an Everett K-9 unit began working the area and located a person of interest about a block away.

Major Crimes Detectives are on the way to the scene. We’ll provide more information as it becomes available.
