Sprinklers Contain Apartment Fire At Hopeworks Station On Broadway

The alarm brought Everett Firefighters in a full commercial fire response.

Sprinklers kept damage to a minimum.
Around 12:15 PM Sunday alarms came in from Hopeworks Station indicating a fire at the housing complex in the 3500 block of Broadway in Everett, Washington. At least one resident also called in reporting a fire in an apartment on the second floor.
On arrival Everett Firefighters found the sprinkler system activated in the area of the fire, putting it out.
One apartment had some fire damage and there was water damage to parts of one of the buildings. There were no injuries.
The Red Cross was contacted to assist three adults and one infant.
Fire investigators are on the scene working to determine the cause of the fire.
Northbound Broadway was closed to traffic for about an hour. Southbound Broadway remained open.
