Everett’s Rep On Snohomish County Council Tapped As Vice-Chair

Today the Snohomish County Council selected their leadership for the year. Here’s a release put out this afternoon advising of the choice of Stephanie Wright as Chair and Megan Dunn as Vice-Chair.

On Monday January 4th, 2021, the Snohomish County Council unanimously selected Councilmember Stephanie Wright to chair the Council for 2021. Councilmember Wright is in her third and final term on the council. Wright represents the 3rd Council District. She served as Council Vice-Chair in 2020.

“I appreciate being selected by my peers to serve as Council Chair for the upcoming year,” said Council Chair Stephanie Wright. “We have a number of challenges ahead of us as the effects of COVID-19 continue to impact our communities and businesses. We will tackle these issues head-on, work with our partners throughout the county and find solutions that keep Snohomish County strong.”

The County Council also selected Councilmember Megan Dunn as Vice-Chair of the Council. The Vice-Chair is part of the leadership team of Council and serves as Chair in the event of an absence. Councilmember Dunn is in her 1st term on the Council and represents District 2.

“I am honored to have been elected as Council Vice Chair and I am proud to work with Chair Stephanie Wright to lead our County during this historic time,” said Council ViceChair Megan Dunn. “Maintaining strong leadership is critical as we continue to respond and recover from the COVID pandemic. I look forward to collaborating with the council, the executive’s office, and county leadership to bring meaningful solutions and improve our community.”
