Everett May Lease Out Greenhouses At Legion Park

December 26, 2020

Everett Government

Earlier this year the City of Everett put out a request for proposals looking for public, private and non-profits to partner in operating city owned properties and programs to bring additional revenue or operate programs that had to be cut due to budget shortfalls.

T&L may be the first of many partners with the City of Everett in 2021.

This Wednesday the Everett City Council will get a look at one of the first programs to come up for consideration. T&L Nursery out of Redmond, WA is interested in leasing five greenhouses located at Legion Park in north Everett. This would not be for public sales but T&L would operate as a wholesale operation with a customer already identified.

T&L is offering $1500.00 a month for five green houses and six parking spots. They would also be looking to hire at least one person full time. The City Council will be looking over the contract and could approve it at their meeting on Wednesday.

Here is a link to the documents prepared for City Council consideration.
