Councilmember Paul Roberts is seeking re-election to the Everett City Council. Roberts currently represents Position 1 and seeks re-election in the new District 1. This is the first election involving the five new council districts.Everett District 1 is home to 22,000 neighbors with diverse characteristics and interests. The district incorporates all of the Delta and Northwest neighborhoods, most of Riverside, part of Bayside and a small portion of Port Gardner.
“Difficult times call for experienced leadership,” Roberts said. “Our first order of business is to bring together the new District 1 — both sides of Broadway, all the neighborhoods, the riverfront and Port. What happens in District 1 impacts all of Everett, Snohomish County and the Puget Sound region. I am proud of my work, leading the fight on climate change, tackling our structural budget deficit, providing affordable housing, rebuilding our economy based on clean energy and green economic principles, rethinking our transportation systems, and maintaining a clean environment.”

He also fought for the establishment of grants for Riverfront Redevelopment.
“The next four years will be challenging,” Roberts said. “I bring the most experience, accomplishments, and capacity to build Everett’s future.
