As we do throughout the year, Everett Police continues dedicating resources to arresting thieves stealing packages off porches. We know package theft is a growing problem based on criminal reports, community complaints and working with local delivery companies as more people shop online.

With increased deliveries during the Holiday Season, criminals ramp up their nefarious activities and we have increased our patrols and community education efforts.

To address this activity, Everett Police have committed additional resources. Detectives with Property Crimes have enlisted the aid of our Pro-Act Unit, Bicycle Unit, Criminal Intelligence Unit, and Crime Analysists for our “Package Theft Operation.”

Detectives are working with victims and local delivery companies to identify areas of high theft and will deploy bait packages with tracking devices. Undercover units are working in the community with the goal of making arrests and stymieing this trend!

Help us by reporting crimes to 911 and suspicious activity to 425-407-3999.
