Fast Work By Everett Firefighters Keeps Car Fire Contained
The car was inside the garage when the engine compartment burst into flames
Once outside the garage they got the hood open to finish putting out the fire.
Saturday afternoon Everett Firefighters were called to a house in the 800 block of Rucker in north Everett after the owner reported flames coming from a car inside their garage.
The crew from Engine 2 was able to quickly knock down the fire and limit the blaze to the vehicle.
They were then able to push the vehicle out of the garage and fully extinguish the fire which appeared to be in the engine compartment.
Smoke spread throughout the house but there did not appear to be any damage outside of the car and firefighters helped with ventilating the home.
