Recently Kris Winkler (who opened Sound Logistics, LLC in August of 2019) began looking for office space to host his growing business. His agent contacted Larry Miller and they were able to strike a deal where Sound Logistics would lease the Glacier Lanes building and parking lot for their use while leaving the lanes and restaurant in place and undisturbed so when conditions improve bowling might return to that building. It’s just an office and parking area for employees, there aren’t any packages in the building but there is now 24-hour security on the property.
“This is a win-win for our growing business and for the Miller family,” said Kris Winkler. “We have a place near the Amazon Facility where our drivers can come pick up their vans and quickly come and go while the bowling alley stays intact for future use.”
Winkler spent 30 years in IT, most recently with Starbucks, when he decided to escape the corporate world and begin a delivery company. His partnership with Amazon has brought rapid growth expanding from five routes to fifty with now 120 employees. He says driver morale and retention have improved with the new office location and they are in the process of hiring even more drivers. They have both part and full-time positions with pay between $18 to $19 dollars an hour plus medical benefits, paid time off and incentive bonus. You can learn more and apply at this link.
