Pedestrian Killed On I-5 In Everett

Early Sunday morning a 30-year-old man from Mt. Vernon was hit and killed after stepping in front of a vehicle on southbound I-5 in Everett, Washington. According to the Washington State Patrol shortly after 1 AM a Kia Sorrento was southbound on the freeway near Lowell in the HOV lane when a man stepped into the travel lane and was struck. The driver, a 66-year-old woman from Everett stopped and was cooperating with investigators. Two lanes of the freeway were shut down for the investigation.
