Four Newest Everett Police Officers All Lateral Hires From Seattle PD
Editor’s Update October 15th 9:00 AM: Word in this morning from Aaron Snell that the current number of vacancies for Everett Police stands at four. The more than a dozen number quoted below comes from our story on August 27th regarding the COPS grant.

It was a virtual swearing-in for Everett’s newest police officers.
Tonight the four newest members of the Everett Police Department met and were sworn in before the Everett City Council. Officers Louis Chan, Jose Vargas, Alan Richards and Jason Suarez bring a combined total of 44 years experience to the Everett Police Department as lateral transfers from Seattle Police Department. Everett has more than a dozen vacancies to fill and bringing on lateral transfers speeds the process to get officers on the street.
