Everett Fire

A view from Skyline Drive in Everett.

Just before 7 PM Snohomish 911 received multiple calls from drivers on Highway 529 between Everett and Marysville regarding fires in the piles of chips in the yard at Pacific Topsoils. Crews from Marysville and Everett Fire Departments responded and found multiple piles of material on fire. The Burlington Northern rail line had to be shut down so fire crews could reach the burning piles. They got the majority of the fire contained within an hour and are now using bulldozers to access the hot spots and spread out the piles. Crew will likely be there for a few hours.
