While the Everett Fire Department has been sending its Brush Truck and crews to help out in Eastern Washington there are concerns about brush fires closer to home.

Shortly after noon Monday Everett Firefighters were called to a brush fire out off the Lowell Larimer Road next to the Burlington Northern Railroad line.

Two Everett Engines and an Aid Car along with a Brush Truck from District 4 worked to get the flames under control and keep them from spreading to the rail line.

The Everett area is included in a red flag warning issued by the National Weather Service in Seattle as breezy winds and drier air have increased the fire danger here.
