The City of Everett may have a derelict vessel on its hands or the owner is just having issues removing it from the beach.

That seems to be the current situation after the “JOJO” showed up at Howarth Park beach last week. As of Saturday the boat was still tied to a log on the beach. The owner was supposed to meet Everett Parks employees around 4 PM but then cancelled the appointment. He reportedly going to try on Sunday.

If the city declares the boat abandoned it will work with the State to have it towed away and disposed of under a Derelict Vessel Removal Program administered by the State.
