Man Stabbed To Death In South Everett

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stabbing death that happened last night in south Everett. Here is what SCSO has released thus far.

shooting Around 9 p.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a stabbing in the 13000 block of Meridian Ave South. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, a 33 year-old Everett man, with a stab wound to his chest and immediately began life saving measures. The victim was transported by aid to Providence Regional Medical Center where he died.

During the investigation, detectives learned there was an ongoing feud between two groups of juvenile girls and both sides made threats to get their adult family members involved.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday, three adult males and multiple juvenile females arrived in a vehicle to the apartment complex where the victim lived. Two adult male suspects exited the vehicle and began engaging in a verbal altercation with the 33 year-old victim and a 35 year-old male. The confrontation in the parking lot turned physical and one of the male suspects stabbed the 33 year-old victim before fleeing the scene in a passenger vehicle. The 35 year-old male suffered a laceration near his eye and was treated by aid on scene.

Detectives are still working to identify the suspects involved. This is an active investigation.

Positive identification of the decedent, as well as cause and manner of death will be determined by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
