Early reports are one Firefighter has suffered a minor injury as an apartment complex under construction at the Port of Everett caught fire Thursday evening. The quickly went to multiple alarms. Two of four buildings at the apartments under construction have been destroyed and another two damaged.

Winds drove the flames east across W. Marine View Drive, up the hill and at least one house has been damaged. Power was cut to more than one thousand PUD customers in the area as flames threatened high voltage power lines along West Marine View Drive. Rail traffic was also stopped.

The fire burned extremely hot and damaged some Everett Fire apparatus. We put together audio of the first five minutes of the fire response from our Feed on Broadcastify.com Click player below.
