July 3, 2020

Police Blotter

It’s pretty simple. Don’t boat under the influence. Here’s more from EPD.

A recent photo of Everett Police patrolling very close to the 10th street boat launch.

Operation Dry Water is July 3rd to 5th.

Operation Dry Water is a national awareness and enforcement campaign focused on reducing the number of alcohol & drug related accidents/fatalities on the water through coordinated efforts between the US Coast Guard with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies. Since 2009, law enforcement has removed 4,095 boating under the influence (BUI) operators and contacted over 1.5 million boaters during the annual three-day weekend emphasis. The campaign continues to make a significant impact on boater safety! This weekend, and throughout the summer, our Marine Operations Unit will patrol the waterways for drunk boaters.

-Drunk boaters make fatal decisions

-NEVER boat under the influence

-The legal limit for BUI is .08… Keep friends, family & other boaters safe!

-Enjoy a safe & sober summer on the water.
