Editor’s Update 8:30 AM: Everett Police did arrest a suspect and booked him into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of 1st degree murder. He will make an initial court appearance tomorrow. No other details are available at this time.

Firefighters and medics arrive to Beverly Lane
Medic 5 stands by at the shooting scene.
Arriving officers found one person inside a home on Beverly Lane who had been shot and summoned medics. He was described as a make in his late 20s and pronounced dead at the scene.
A male in his mid 30s has been detained and is talking with Everett Police who say there are no other suspects outstanding.
At the time of this writing the investigation is just getting underway and major crimes detectives were arriving.
Beverly Lane is closed between East Beech Street and Magnolia while the investigation is underway.
