A Pedestrian who was hit as he tried to cross 6 lanes of Evergreen Way south of 112th Street was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett with life-threatening injuries Saturday night.

Around 10:30 PM the pedestrian was crossing the busy highway in the 11300 block where there is no crosswalk when struck by a car headed northbound.

The car continued north and pulled into the parking lot of the AM/PM store at 112th and Evergreen Way.

There was heavy damage to the windshield of the car and Everett Police contacted the driver and after field sobriety tests reportedly made an arrest for DUI.

A detective with the Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit was called out to assist in the investigation of the car-pedestrian portion of the incident.
