Look for the signs.

The City of Everett’s Department of Emergency Management is holding events at different locations in Everett this month to collect face coverings from people who have been sewing them and giving free face overs to people who need one.

The first event was held Monday at a drive-thru and walk-up location at Thornton A Sullivan Park at Silver Lake in south Everett. It was a great success as they distributed 187 face covers.

Here’s more information on additional events this week.

The Everett Emergency Management Team and volunteers will be at Kasch Park, 8811 Airport Road tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6, from 1-4pm, accepting donations of face covers and distributing face covers to community members in need.

No car? Not a problem, we welcome walk-ups too. All members of our community are invited to stop by if they need a face covering for themselves and or family.

Supplies are based on the donations we receive.

The face covers are not N95s or surgical masks, they are homemade cloth face covers donated to us by talented volunteer sewers who are helping their community. There is no cost for the face cover.

If you have donations and you can’t make it to any of our scheduled events, contact Rachael Doniger at rdoniger@everettwa.gov or call 425-257-8111.

Friday, May 8, we are at Forest Park, 805 E Mukilteo Blvd. If you are making face covers and you would like to donate, we would love to accept them from you! If you need a face cover, as donations are received and supplies last, we have them for you.
