Everett Fire

Firefighter Rebecca Benoit uses a chainsaw to open a porch wall.

Firefighters kept the fire from extending into the house.

Around eight o’clock this morning Everett Firefighters were called to a residence on East Drive in the central part of the city for a report of a porch on fire.

As the first firefighters arrived they found flames coming from the front porch. They made a quick offensive attack and knocked down the flames, keeping the fire from spreading.

Chainsaws were used to open up the porch area to make sure the flames did not extend into the house.

Everyone was able to get out okay and there were no injuries.

An Everett Fire Investigator has been called to the residence to determine the cause of the fire.
