EPD Investigating Shooting Death In North Everett

10:05 PM Editor’s Update: According to Everett Police Deputy Chief John DeRousse who was speaking to media at the scene the incident involves an altercation between a homeowner and another man that occurred outside of the homeowner’s house. The homeowner apparently fired the shots and his wife called 9-1-1. Both are cooperating with Everett Police Detectives.

Around 8:30 PM Everett Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of Chestnut Street in north Everett.

First officers on the scene located a male with multiple gunshot in the front yard of a home.

Officers tried CPR and medics were called but the person was pronounced dead on the scene.

Everett Police Major Crimes Detectives have been called out to investigate.
