A Coast Guard Chopper, five rescuer swimmers from both the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and the Everett Police Dive unit were unable to locate a person who witnesses say fell out of a small inflatable boat Wednesday afternoon. It started about 3 PM when witnesses reported the capsized boat off Edgewater Beach at the Everett-Mukilteo Border. The lone occupant was seen swimming to shore then reportedly went under.

He was about 70 meters from shore. Rescuers worked for about two and a half hours before calling off the search due to darkness. Everett Police and Snohomish County Search and Rescue Crews are meeting tonight to decide their next steps to try and locate the person.
