One stubborn flame remained as firefighters cut the tub in half to get it outside.

A north Everett home was saved and no one hurt after neighbors noticed a fire in a hot tub room at a north Everett house and notified the residents and Snohomish 911.

Thanks to the neighbors the people who lived at the home got out safely with their pets. Quick work by the first Everett Fire Engine in contained the fire to the exterior room and keep it from spreading into the house.

Firefighters did have to cut the hot tub in half to get it out of the room to make sure there was no extension of the fire into the house.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
