Thursday night the newest members of the Everett Fire Department graduated from the Snohomish County Fire Training Academy, Class 2019-03.

30 individuals from six agencies were at their graduation ceremony. Of those 30 people, five were from the Everett Fire Department – Becca Benoit, Michael Dove, Ilya Grishchenko, (who received the Truck Company Award), Thomas “TJ” Holert, and Jacob “JJ” Jones.

Over the past two years the Everett Fire Department has been on a drive to increase staffing hiring both entry-level and experienced firefighters.

Additional hiring opportunities are expected in 2020.
