Detectives with the Everett Police Major Crimes division and the Anti-Crime Team were able to successfully track down and provide information to law enforcement officers in Texas this afternoon, which resulted in the arrest of a 20 year-old Tacoma, WA man and his 19 year-old girlfriend from Parkland, WA. This was the result of several weeks of ongoing investigations and evidence leading to the two individuals responsible for the shooting incident that occurred on November 21st, 2019 at 120 W. Casino Road.
Based on the investigation, detectives believe that just before 3:00 a.m. on November 21st, the suspects, along with two other males, drove to 120 W. Casino Rd to purchase drugs. The male suspect and one of the male occupants went into an apartment to make the purchase. While inside, a joke turned into an argument and the male suspect fired his pistol numerous times. He struck four individuals, one of which he had arrived with, and fled in a Toyota 4-Runner driven by his girlfriend.
Detectives worked with witnesses and law enforcement agencies to determine the identity of the two suspects. Arrest warrants were obtained on the two individuals and provided to officers in the Houston, Texas area.
The male is expected to be charged with multiple counts of assault and unlawful possession of a firearm while the woman is expected to be charged with rendering criminal assistance. It should be noted, this was not a random act of violence in our community.
Three of the four victims have already been released from the hospital and the status of the individual transported to Harborview Medical Center is unknown at this time.
