The folks at Sharing Wheels have a goal to fix and donate 100 bikes for kids to receive at Christmas so they are putting out the call for help from the Everett Community.

Remember that feeling of freedom you got from your first bike? Give that gift to a low income family this holiday by donating gently-used kids bikes to Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop. Volunteers are hoping to refurbish 100 bikes for kids this Christmas, and a need a few more. Bikes must be in very good shape – worn tires are fine, but lots of rust or broken parts take too long to fix. Once repaired, bikes are given to Christmas House, which served more than 7,000 low income children in 2018. Donations can be brought to Sharing Wheels Community Bike Shop, 2531 Broadway Ave., Everett from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday. Volunteers are also needed to work on bikes on Sundays and Thursdays  – no experience needed. See the website for details sharingwheels.org/fix-kids-bikes/
