6 am. Trains stop, Contractor begins setting plates and dunnage on BNSF Right-of-way
8 am. Anticipated roll time of the bridge
Bridge will come down on two 4-inch pin bearings on the east abutment and two bearing pads on the west abutment (utility shaft next at the elevator tower). This will happen within a tolerance of half an inch.
Connection to be made to the elevator tower (see “white” location on side of elevator tower).
Once weight is transferred to abutments, the process of removing the cribbing begins.
Midday Anticipated time for completion of bridge set
Assorted bridge details:
Height of the top of the walk at the upper elevator entrance is 43 feet above grade.
Top of the utility tower is 31 feet above grade. Top of the elevator shaft is 65 feet above grade.
The bluff is approximately 75 feet above the Port of Everett parking lot.
Length of bridge is 257 feet.
The stormwater pipe on the bridge is 36 inches in diameter.
The combined sewer pipeline is 30 inches in diameter.
The sanitary sewer force main is 12 inches in diameter.
