Editor’s Update 5:30AM: Due to some flooding in classrooms Everett High School is closed Tuesday.

The intersection of Broadway and Everett

The 2200 – 2500 block of W. Marine View Drive was closed.

The truck got through okay but the car was stranded.

The National Weather Service says more than an inch of rain fell in an hour in north Everett Monday evening.

The rain overwhelmed storm drains and caused flooding on multiple streets.

The intersection of Everett and Broadway was impacted.

West Marine View Drive along the Everett, Washington waterfront was closed in multiple spots and at least one car was stranded in the 2300 block.

There were also issues on East Marine View Drive.

Everett Fire crews were responding to multiple service calls relating to flooding.

As of 8 PM no reports of serious injury.

Authorities ask you not to drive thru flooded areas as there is no way to determine if the roadway under the water has been damaged, a sinkhole developed, etc.

The City monitors the CSOs in real time.

The combined sewer overflows for the City of Everett were working at capacity for a time Monday night.
